What You’ll Do

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will report to the Practice Manager. Provides quality patient care to patients and carries out medical orders under the supervision of a physician and according to established policies and procedures of the clinic. Performs other activities necessary to the operation of the clinic.

Licensed Practical Nurse Job Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support by obtaining vital signs, administering injections, performing tests, and assisting physicians during exams and procedures.
• Coordinate patient care activities, including scheduling appointments, referrals, testing, admissions, and follow-up services.
• Maintain accurate patient records, communicate test results, process prescriptions, and document patient interactions.
• Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and health management programs.
• Support office and clinical operations through chart management, supply inventory, procedure preparation, and compliance with safety and infection control standards.
• Assist with insurance authorizations, billing support, and physician activities in hospital and nursing home settings.
• Maintain required certifications, participate in ongoing education, and adhere to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
• Perform additional administrative, clinical, and departmental duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through successful completion of a nursing program from an accredited school of nursing, current license to practice as an LPN in the State of Indiana and one year of related nursing experience.
• One year of medical office nursing experience preferred.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are essential to assess patient conditions, identify healthcare needs, interpret clinical data, and support appropriate care decisions. Additionally, the position requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, physicians, medical staff, team members, and the public.
