Job Description
Our Director of Entitlement plays a strategic role in managing and overseeing the design, entitlement approvals and permitting of new 7 Brew stands in the Greater Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana area. The position will be responsible for managing multiple new store development projects from initial site identification through final approvals. This role will collaborate closely with internal teams, external teams, and municipal agencies to ensure projects move efficiently through all phases of the entitlement process. The Director of Entitlement will also develop strategies to streamline approvals, mitigate risk and maintain compliance with local zoning, land use and building regulations. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong knowledge of real estate development, permitting processes and project management best practices, capable of driving multiple concurrent initiatives to successful completion within budget and schedule targets.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple new store development projects in the Greater Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana area.
- Gain entitlements and permits for new 7 Brew stand development projects through government agencies, formulate strategies and direct internal and external development teams as needed.
- Perform all predevelopment activities including feasibility, design, layout and entitlement, permitting and due diligence. With senior management and consultant team determine and program the scope, quality and design of projects.
- Work with senior management on final development agreements and any easement agreements that need to be obtained.
- Develop and refine plans, designs, cost estimates, permitting and project timelines during the pre-construction period.
- Coordinate with the Construction team throughout the predevelopment and into construction to verify a smooth project transition and ensure that all development agreements are maintained.
- Update and track all budget and schedule changes throughout the entitlement period.
- Demonstrate effective management, leadership, coaching and development of staff to achieve company and project team goals and objectives.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, real estate or related field experience
- 5-7 years of related experience, preferably in a retail/hospitality environment with management responsibility.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
This is a full-time position based in the Greater Chicago area. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer the opportunity for additional compensation, Health Insurance, Employee Life/AD&D Insurance and Long Term/Short Term Disability Insurance. Starting Salary: $150,000 per year
