Job Description
Jolt Action is a 501c4 non-profit organization that increases the civic participation of Latinos in Texas to build a stronger democracy and ensure that everyone’s voice is heard. Jolt Initiative is a 501c3 non-profit organization that believes young Latinos will transform Texas through the power of their vote. The Contractor will lead Jolt’s canvassing team uplifting the Latino community's voice to transform Texas. In collaboration with departmental leadership, Jolt’s Field Manager facilitates the development and implementation of statewide voter registration and mobilization plans.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Team supervision & management: Supervises a team of deputy field organizers to meet voter contact, community organizing, and capacity-building goals as a hiring and firing manager
- Issue messaging & training: Understands core political and voter advocacy issues and can effectively communicate in-scope messaging to team members
- Relationship building & stewardship: Builds and maintains relationships with local leaders and community partners in the designated region
- Field strategy & data management: Develops regional strategies and systems that lead the team to successfully meet daily and weekly organizing metrics, as well as maintain data integrity
- Special Programming Support: Collaborates with internal stakeholders to effectively support the facilitation of and recruitment of volunteers and attendees for Jolt’s special programming and events via the field team’s community interface
- Performance assessment & reporting: Assists in the assessment of regional program success through team and individual performance metrics reporting
- Process management: Assists in the development and implementation of process improvements leading to increased quality and efficiency
- Budget management: Oversee departmental budget, establish performance goals, and provide routine reporting to leadership

- Other duties as assigned.
The contractor will work no more than 8 hours per day and no more than 30 hours per week. A week is defined as Sunday through Saturday. Hours designated for this project are between 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Timetable: The term of this agreement will commence on June 9, 2026 and will terminate on November 4, 2026.
Compensation: The Contractor will be paid Twenty Six Dollars ($26) an hour provided that in no event will the aggregate fee exceed Seven Hundred Eighty Dollars ($690) per week, payable on a semi-monthly basis on the 3rd and 18th of each month via Gusto.
