Construction Laborer in Baltimore, Maryland at Gray & Son, Inc.

A construction laborer will perform tasks involving physical labor for highway and site construction projects. This position may operate hand power tools.

Job Duties

• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor for construction projects for grading, stone, concrete, paving, and utility division.
• Shovel asphalt into construction area.
• Assist in patching asphalt with hot and cold mix.
• Excavate and fills trenches and ditches
• Fine grade fill to grades given by foreman.
• Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, clean up rubble and debris, and remove asbestos, lead, and other hazardous waste materials.
• Material handling and storage.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Willingly attend and support Foremen/Superintendents during morning huddles and toolbox talks.
• Other duties as assigned.
