Employment: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Working hours: Shift work supporting 24/7 data center operations
We are looking for a Control Room Specialist (CRS) to join our team in Viborg. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the continuous and reliable operation of critical data center infrastructure.
As a Control Room Specialist, you will monitor and respond to critical systems, alarms and environmental conditions, while working closely with technicians and other teams to maintain high availability and minimize operational and safety risks.
This is a role for someone who enjoys working with complex technical systems, stays calm under pressure and takes pride in doing things right.
Your roleAs part of the operations team, you will be a central point of contact for the data center's critical and non-critical infrastructure. You will monitor systems, respond to alarms and incidents, support troubleshooting and contribute to continuous improvements in operational excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring and operating critical and non-critical data center infrastructure and systems
Responding promptly to alarms and alerts and taking appropriate action to minimize downtime
Acting as an incident specialist and coordinating with cross-functional teams during incidents
Monitoring power, cooling capacity and environmental conditions within the data halls
Working with BMS, SCADA, CMMS, Fire Life Safety and network systems
Supporting troubleshooting, analysis and optimization of technical systems
Performing facility rounds of SCADA/BMS systems and physical inspections of the facility
Supporting and guiding operators, technicians and other relevant personnel
Developing, reviewing, auditing and executing operating procedures, standards and specifications
Supporting change control activities and ensuring procedures are followed
Working with and escorting external contractors while ensuring compliance with facility rules
Participating in training, construction and commissioning activities as required
Contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence
Working shifts to support 24/7 data center operations and being flexible when coverage of other shifts is required
We are looking for a technically minded and responsible professional who can maintain focus in a high-pressure environment and who understands the importance of safety, reliability and attention to detail.
You ideally have:
Technical education or training, preferably as an Electrician, Marine Engineer or Cooling Technician
Experience from a control room environment, including monitoring BMS, SCADA and Fire Life Safety systems
Experience with automation, CTS, CR, SCADA, networks and servers
1–3+ years of experience in a mission-critical environment, such as a data center, shipping, power/heat plant or oil & gas
Electrical or mechanical certification/licence
The ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical manuals, drawings and sketches
The ability to work safely and proficiently with hand and power tools
You are a team player with strong communication skills and a practical, solution-oriented mindset. You remain calm when things get busy and are comfortable taking responsibility when an issue needs to be resolved.

We believe in continuous learning and development. As part of the role, you will participate in structured training and development, with expectations to complete:
Level I training within 60 days
Level II training modules within 6 months
Level III training modules within 9 months
