This role is responsible for supervising generator assembly and installation activities across hydroelectric power projects.
You will provide technical and operational leadership in the field, ensuring activities meet project schedules, contractual requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations.
The position combines field supervision with workforce planning, contractor oversight, technical documentation, and coordination with engineering teams.
You will work closely with site and construction management to sequence activities and ensure the availability of people, tools, and resources.
The role also involves identifying non-conformities, coordinating technical solutions, and maintaining accurate project documentation.
You will support customer teams through technical training and ongoing assistance while contributing lessons learned to improve future project execution.
This is a remote-based, full-time opportunity requiring frequent travel to project locations in Brazil and internationally.
- Supervise the assembly and installation of generators at hydroelectric power plants and small hydroelectric plants, ensuring compliance with project schedules, contractual requirements, technical specifications, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with site and construction managers to plan the sequence of activities and ensure the availability of qualified personnel, tools, equipment, and other required resources.
- Monitor the technical competence and performance of third-party contractors, ensuring execution follows established procedures, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Ensure all field activities comply with applicable safety standards, internal procedures, and local regulations, prioritizing the safety and integrity of personnel and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical drawings, project documentation, and field records.
- Identify and document non-conformities through NCR reports and coordinate appropriate technical solutions with engineering teams.
- Provide training to customer teams on system operation and offer technical support during and after the generator assembly process.
- Analyze field processes and share lessons learned with engineering and project teams to improve future project execution and operational efficiency.
- Facilitate effective communication among field teams, contractors, engineering, construction management, and customers throughout project delivery.
- Completed technical education in Mechanical, Electrical, Electrotechnical studies, or a related technical field.
- Previous experience supervising generator assembly activities in hydroelectric power plants.
- Solid understanding of generator installation, assembly procedures, technical documentation, and field execution practices.
- Experience supervising third-party contractors and ensuring compliance with technical, quality, and safety requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Experience identifying non-conformities and collaborating with engineering teams to develop and implement technical solutions.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to organize and prioritize activities in complex, project-based environments.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Intermediate Spanish proficiency.
- Intermediate English proficiency is considered an advantage.
- Willingness and availability to travel frequently within Brazil and internationally, including to project sites.
- Ability to work remotely when not deployed to a project location.
