The Cityof Summit is seeking an experienced and collaborative professional to serve asDirector of Engineering and Public Works. This leadership role oversees theCity's engineering operations, infrastructure projects, and public worksdivisions, including roads, sewers, drainage, fleet, buildings and grounds, andrelated municipal services. Responsibilities include managing capitalimprovement projects, supervising technical and field staff, preparing budgetsand project plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing guidance toCity officials, boards, contractors, and the community.

Qualifiedcandidates must possess a degree in civil engineering, a New JerseyProfessional Engineer (PE) license, and at least five years of progressivelyresponsible supervisory experience, including governmental experience. Strongleadership, communication, project management, and public relations skills areessential. A New Jersey Public Works Manager certification is preferred.

SalaryRange: $98,801 – $180,000.
