Service Manager in Charleston, South Carolina at Rechtien International Trucks

Carolina International Trucks is seeking a seasoned and reliable Service Manager to lead our Charleston service department. This role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction through effective team leadership, strategic planning, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set and achieve departmental goals aligned with company objectives
• Recruit, train, and manage service staff performance
• Oversee budget planning and cost control measures
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and manufacturer documentation
• Monitor technician productivity and manage scheduling
• Foster strong customer relationships and handle service inquiries professionally
• Promote a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Collaborate with vocational schools for recruitment and training initiatives
• Address customer concerns promptly and ensure follow up for service technician

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of relevant experience or equivalent education and training
• Proven leadership and operational management skills in a service environment
• Strong understanding of service department metrics, compliance, and customer service best practices
