As a Food Service Worker at Anderson Center for Autism, you'll play an important role in supporting daily meal service operations across our campus and residential programs. From assisting with food delivery and meal distribution to maintaining kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, your work helps create safe, positive dining experiences for the individuals we serve.

Through your efforts, you'll help ensure that meals are delivered safely, food service areas remain clean and sanitary, and kitchen operations run efficiently.

What You Will Do as a Food Service Worker:
  • You will support daily food service operations by preparing meal deliveries and ensuring food reaches residential locations safely, accurately, and on schedule.
  • You will transport meals, groceries, and food service supplies to residences and other designated program locations throughout the campus.
  • You will monitor food temperatures, assist with food loading procedures, and help ensure meals are transported in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • You will help maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment by completing routine cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the day.
  • You will sweep, mop, remove garbage, sanitize work areas, and support overall kitchen cleanliness to help ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • You will wash, sanitize, and properly store dishware, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment used during meal preparation and service.
  • You will help prepare dining areas by setting tables and ensuring meal service supplies are available and ready for use.
  • You will maintain food delivery vehicles and equipment by keeping them clean, sanitary, and ready for daily operations.
  • You will support the Food Services team wherever needed to help ensure efficient operations and a positive dining experience for the individuals we serve.
  • You will contribute to an environment that promotes health, safety, dignity, and quality of life through dependable service and attention to detail.

The Qualifications We Seek:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Previous experience in food service, dietary services, custodial services, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, transport, and move food service supplies and equipment.
  • Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
