Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a IT Administrator - Help Desk to provide day-to-day support and administration of corporate computers and network users by applying knowledge of hardware, software, and procedures. Investigates, identifies, and resolves hardware and software issues. Installs computer hardware and peripherals and coordinates vendor hardware and software support when applicable. Reviews and performs appropriate security and updates from Microsoft and applicable third-party vendors. Upgrades operating systems and system software.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the administration and support Office 365 services, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
- Provide technical support to end users in person and remotely.
- Maintain a high level of customer(employee) satisfaction.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems and related infrastructure services.
- Respond to and resolve technical support requests within expected time frames.
- Document issues, resolutions and procedures related to technical operations.
- Follow established IT processes and procedures, recommending updates as needed.
- Maintain inventory of branch technology equipment, desktops, laptops, etc.
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft technologies.
- 2-3 years of professional experience in desktop support within a corporate environment.
- Strong written and verbal communications. Teamwork skills are essential.
- Computer Administration certifications (MCSA, MCSE, MCP, MTA, etc.). Experience considered in lieu of certifications.
Knowledge of:
- Strong Microsoft operating system and network knowledge to carry out assigned administrative tasks with the need for limited supervision.
- Overall desktop administration responsibility for major platforms and operating systems.
- Microsoft 365.
Ability to:
- Conduct ongoing security risk assessments including monitoring, investigation and reporting of security and access violations.
- Perform system vulnerability assessments and conduct trade-off studies to recommend methods on countering threats to systems.
- Review system performance statistics; perform system modifications and fixes.
- Learn new systems quickly, including ERP, and manufacturing solutions.
- Research, test and evaluate hardware and software products.
- Conduct feasibility studies and help develop system, time, equipment and cost requirements.
- Crawl under a desk and get dirty.
- Work with a diverse group with different technical literacies.
- Provide 24/7 support as needed.
