Occupational Therapist - Outpatient in North Kansas City, Missouri at North Kansas City Hospital

SUMMARY: SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Department Director and the Occupational Therapy Supervisor, provides quality occupational therapy services to patients through evaluation and administration of treatment to restore function and prevent disabilities.

Occupational Therapist to work primarily in an outpatient clinical setting, focusing on upper extremity management and we would like a candidate with experience or interest in the other specialties which include pediatrics, pelvic health and oncology management. A schedule will be established at the time of hire, and will either be 5–8-hour days, working 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. or 4–10-hour days, working 8 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., with off day being determined at time of hire. Will be cross-trained to support Acute Care and will be required to work one holiday and one holiday weekend day annually at a minimum. Experience either as a student or in clinical practice with pediatrics and pelvic health is indicated to apply for this role.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

LICENSE/CERT: Required: NBCOT (National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy), BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), OTR (Occupational Therapist)

EDUCATION: Required: Bachelors - Occupational Therapy
