Pharmacy EKit Technician in Newport News, Virginia at MedWiz of New Jersey LLC

The Pharmacy E-Kit Pharmacy Technician manages the MedBank Cubie Replenishment Station and prepares medications to restock MedBank Towers at long-term care facilities. This role supports accurate inventory, timely delivery, and communication with consultant pharmacists while following pharmacy procedures and applicable requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Restock medications used in facility MedBank Towers.
• Monitor medications approaching expiration and process returned medications according to pharmacy procedures.
• Create invoices and prepare medications for delivery.
• Retrieve medications from the narcotic room for replenishment in accordance with established procedures.
• Troubleshoot routine replenishment issues and escalate concerns as needed.
• Notify the assigned consultant pharmacist of medication issues or replacement delays.
• Work with consultant pharmacists to identify and resolve reports of missing medications in facility MedBank Towers.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Pharmacy technician certification where required by applicable state law.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate medication and inventory records.

Preferred Qualifications

• One to two years of pharmacy experience.
• Pharmacy technician certification where it is not required by state law.

Physical Requirements

This role may require sitting or standing for extended periods; intermittent walking, bending, and stooping; reading fine print; and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
