We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Sr. Specialist in our Environment, Health and Safety Team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day environmental operations, track field activity and report discrepancies from standards to Environment Manager.
- Verify and analyze environmental contractor data for compliance with NSE and governmental regulations.
- Maintain environmental equipment data integrity and audit readiness.
- Lead environmental management of change (MOC) for new commissioning, activities to assess and manage environmental impacts associated with process, equipment, material, operational changes.
- Coordinate site Total Waste Management Operation & Optimization.
- Plan and manage environmental sampling activities, including wastewater, stormwater, air, soil, and other applicable environmental media, ensuring proper collection, documentation, chain of custody, and laboratory coordination.
- Lead environmental incident management, including initial assessment, investigation, documentation, corrective actions, regulatory reporting requirements, and follow-up to prevent recurrence.
- Provide technical support/training to Junior Environmental Specialists on environmental initiatives, projects, compliance activities, data analysis, investigations, and day-to-day environmental operations, while supporting continuous improvement of site environmental programs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil Engineering, Science or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of Environmental, EHS or related experience.
- Strong understanding of EHS operations
- Strong project coordination skills
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and requirements
- Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to independently interpret environmental data and report findings
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Requirements:
- Masters in Environmental sciences or engineering
- Supervisory experience for EHS operations
- Strong understanding of NSE EHS operations
- Experience in contractor management
- Understanding of NSE waste, recycling and pollution control operations
- Proficiency in advanced MS office suite/Excel, including formulas, data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
