Data Onboarding Coordinator

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Onboarding Coordinator based in United States.

This role supports a mission-critical data onboarding function within a complex healthcare fraud prevention environment.
You will coordinate the integration of new data sources and ensure information is accurate, complete, and ready for downstream use.
Working across engineering, product, operations, and client teams, you will translate business and technical requirements into reliable onboarding workflows.
Your work will directly contribute to high-quality data pipelines that support analytics, decision-making, and operational insight.
The position combines data operations, quality assurance, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.
It offers a fully remote environment with opportunities to strengthen your expertise in modern data platforms and integration practices.
Success in this role means delivering reliable data sources on time while minimizing defects, rework, and onboarding friction.

Accountabilities:
  • Coordinate the onboarding of new data sources, files, feeds, and external partners from initial requirements through successful completion.
  • Review source formats, schemas, business requirements, and data definitions to understand onboarding needs and dependencies.
  • Map incoming data to internal data models and ensure transformation and validation rules are followed.
  • Validate data quality, completeness, consistency, and readiness throughout the onboarding process.
  • Troubleshoot data delivery, parsing, formatting, integration, and other onboarding issues, escalating technical challenges when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and client-facing teams to clarify requirements, resolve questions, and coordinate dependencies.
  • Document onboarding workflows, data definitions, validation rules, exceptions, and other operational processes.
  • Track onboarding timelines, risks, issues, and milestones through completion and support smooth handoffs to operations and analytics teams.
  • Monitor onboarding outcomes against quality and schedule expectations, helping reduce defects and unnecessary rework.
  • Maintain clear, timely communication with partners and internal stakeholders throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, data analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in data operations, data integration, implementation, technical support, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with structured data formats such as CSV, JSON, XML, and flat files.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple onboarding activities, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience gathering and translating technical or business requirements into actionable data processes.
  • Preferred experience with ETL/ELT workflows, SQL, Python, data quality tools, metadata management, data governance, or schema mapping.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or AWS is a plus.
  • Experience with API integrations, secure file transfer methods, or procurement of data from external partners is advantageous.
  • Exposure to healthcare, financial services, or other regulated data environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is beneficial.
  • Experience working with data platforms and technologies in a collaborative, client-focused environment is highly valued.
Benefits
  • Competitive annual base salary of approximately $85,000–$115,000 USD, with final compensation based on experience, location, and other job-related factors.
  • Fully remote work from anywhere in the United States.
  • Full-time schedule of approximately 40 hours per week.
  • Full-flex work arrangements designed to support work-life balance and personal priorities.
  • Medical plan options, including plans with Health Savings Accounts.
  • Dental and vision insurance options.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching and pre-tax and post-tax contribution options.
  • Paid vacation, sick, and personal leave, plus paid holidays.
  • Paid parental, military, bereavement, and jury duty leave.
  • Up to 160 hours of paid family leave over a rolling 12-month period for eligible employees.
  • Short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, and other income protection benefits.
  • Employee assistance and wellness resources.
  • Career development support, including AI-powered career tools and internal mobility resources.
  • Opportunities to grow expertise across data science, data engineering, AI, cloud, and other emerging technologies.
  • A collaborative, mission-focused culture centered on innovation and professional growth.
  • Less than 10% travel expected.
