Senior Medical Biller in San Antonio, Texas at University Health System- San Antonio

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Biller Coordinator is responsible for accurately reviewing and resolving claim edits and discharge not final billed edits within a claim edit workqueue or an account workqueue housed within Epic. On a daily basis, the Senior Billing Coordinator will run and monitor billing related reports for PBS leadership. The Senior Billing Coordinator will assist in providing individualized training for new billing coordinators in the use of Epic as well as ancillary systems

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High School graduate or equivalent is required. A combined minimum of (3) years’ experience in hospital or physician billing. Must have knowledge of Texas Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial insurance programs. Must possess strong interpersonal and communications skills
