This is a highly visible role focused on managing complex broker compensation programs within a dynamic insurance environment.
You will oversee compensation initiatives ranging from incentive programs and profit commissions to budgeting and forecasting.
Your financial analysis will support accurate payments, sound governance, and informed business decisions.
You’ll work closely with Sales & Distribution, regional leaders, and Finance to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
The role combines financial expertise, analytical problem-solving, stakeholder management, and process improvement.
You’ll also contribute to annual planning cycles, reporting, and the continuous enhancement of compensation processes.

Manage and oversee complex broker compensation programs, including contingent profit commissions and incentive arrangements, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
Support budgeting, forecasting, accruals, variance analysis, and financial reporting related to broker compensation activities.
Analyze financial and compensation data to identify trends, explain variances, and develop clear recommendations for business leaders.
Partner with Corporate Sales & Distribution, regional Sales & Distribution teams, and Finance to deliver compensation initiatives and support strategic planning.
Provide financial insights that help leaders understand compensation performance, forecast future requirements, and make informed business decisions.
Manage multiple priorities, annual planning cycles, deadlines, and deliverables while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Identify opportunities to improve compensation processes, reporting, controls, and overall operational efficiency.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and communicate complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
CPA designation with progressive experience in financial analysis, compensation programs, budgeting, or a related discipline.
Strong experience with advanced Excel, including financial modelling, data analysis, and complex calculations.
Practical experience with forecasting, accruals, variance analysis, operational budgeting, and financial reporting.
Knowledge of compensation, commission, incentive, or broker compensation programs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to turn complex financial information into clear insights and recommendations.
Excellent attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy across complex financial calculations and reporting.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional business partners.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work confidently through annual planning cycles and time-sensitive deliverables.
Insurance industry experience and a CIP designation are considered strong assets.
Base salary range of $94,000–$142,000 CAD, with actual compensation determined by experience, skills, and alignment with the role.
