Job Description
The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg seeks a collaborative pianist to work as Part-time Instructor of Piano. Responsibilities include:
Providing private instruction (1/2 hour lessons) for up to 4 piano students in our piano studio. Ability to teach in both Classical and jazz styles is desirable but not required.
Accompanying the Pitt-Greensburg Chorale and Chamber Singers in weekly rehearsals and semester performances, working with the music director. The accompanist is needed for approximately five hours of rehearsal time.
Accompanying university musicals when scheduled. The next one is scheduled for Spring 28.
Teaching one class per semester, typically Class Piano for beginners or other course within the candidate’s expertise.
Applicants must have completed a master’s degree or higher in music and have experience in both private piano instruction and choral accompanying. Experience teaching in a university setting is desirable.
