Purpose:
Utility are responsible for the ongoing production support areas they are assigned to on a day-to-day basis; including assisting mixer operators, oven operators, washroom, pre-weigh ingredients, icing and trash/recycling.
Job Responsibilities:
Attend and be on time for all pre-shift production meetingsParticipation and adherence to all food safety and safety programsCompletion of assigned Alchemy courses that are required throughout the yearPre-weighing and preparing of raw baking ingredientsWork with equipment on icing productManage trash and recycling duties of assigned areasMaintain the washroom in a manner that meets all food safety requirementsClean production equipment following established Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP’s)Accurately and legibly maintain cleaning records Ensure that all utensils, equipment, and work area is maintained in a clean and safe mannerCollect all recyclable materials and combine them appropriatelyAssist Mixer Operators in getting required ingredients as neededAssist Oven Operators in change-overs as neededAssist other areas of production as neededEffectively communicate all relevant information to other production shifts and employeesWelcome all new team members and train as assignedImmediately report any and all food safety and quality problems to management Follow all: Company policiesGood manufacturing practices (GMP’s)Food safety management system policies and proceduresSanitation proceduresFood safety management system policies and procedures to protect the Brand through providing extraordinary value through food safety and product qualitySafety policies and procedures Other: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
