Job Description

Position Summary

Lead 3rd Shift machining operations while supporting safe, consistent, and efficient production. This hands-on role combines machining and automation knowledge with team leadership, SOP coaching, output accountability, machine upkeep, and scrap reduction. Position pays $24/hour.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead and support employees during 3rd Shift machining operations.
  • Coach employees to follow SOPs, work instructions, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate work and monitor performance to meet daily and weekly output goals.
  • Monitor machining and automated equipment and respond to production or process issues.
  • Support routine machine upkeep and identify maintenance needs to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor quality and scrap levels and take appropriate action to reduce avoidable scrap.
  • Provide hands-on coaching, direction, and feedback to team members.
  • Communicate production, quality, equipment, staffing, or safety concerns to management.

    • Qualifications

  • Previous machining and automation experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to coach and direct a production team.
  • Ability to understand, follow, and reinforce SOPs and work instructions.
  • Ability to organize work around daily and weekly output goals.
  • Strong attention to safety, quality, productivity, machine condition, and scrap reduction.

    • Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Perform normal production-related lifting, bending, reaching, and movement.
  • Work around machining and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Wear required PPE.

    • Schedule

  • 3rd Shift.
  • Overtime or schedule adjustments may be required based on production needs.
