Senior Product Marketing Manager, Competitive & Market Intelligence

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Competitive & Market Intelligence Manager based in the United States.

This role will build and lead a competitive and market intelligence capability within a fast-moving AI infrastructure environment.
You will turn fragmented market, customer, competitive, and field signals into actionable intelligence that shapes business decisions.
The position combines deep research, technical analysis, strategic thinking, and hands-on program building.
You will investigate competitors, technologies, pricing models, market dynamics, customer needs, and emerging trends to identify opportunities and risks.
Your insights will directly influence positioning, product strategy, go-to-market priorities, competitive deals, and executive decision-making.
Working across Product, Sales, Solutions Engineering, Marketing, Alliances, and leadership, you will become a trusted source of market perspective.
This is an ideal opportunity for a senior individual contributor who enjoys building systems from the ground up and turning intelligence into measurable business outcomes.

Accountabilities:
  • Build and scale a comprehensive competitive and market intelligence program, including research sources, tools, workflows, taxonomy, governance, operating cadence, distribution channels, and feedback loops.
  • Establish a reliable intelligence system of record that remains current as competitors, technologies, customer expectations, and market conditions evolve.
  • Develop detailed intelligence on priority competitors, covering products, architectures, performance, positioning, customers, partnerships, business models, pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Track competitor pricing, licensing, packaging, and consumption models, identifying meaningful commercial changes and communicating their implications to relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor developments across AI infrastructure, accelerated computing, cloud and neocloud markets, data platforms, storage and memory technologies, emerging categories, ecosystem partnerships, customer requirements, and buying behaviors.
  • Translate competitive, market, customer, and field signals into clear points of view and actionable recommendations for positioning, product strategy, category development, investment priorities, and differentiation.
  • Create and continuously improve battlecards, competitive playbooks, objection-handling guides, comparison frameworks, executive briefs, presentations, and other enablement resources.
  • Build scalable feedback mechanisms with Sales, Solutions Engineering, partners, prospects, and customers to capture real-world competitive intelligence, deal insights, and win/loss information.
  • Partner directly with sales and technical teams on strategic competitive opportunities, helping shape deal strategies, address competitor claims, and apply field learnings across the broader intelligence program.
  • Deliver concise, decision-oriented competitive and market briefings to product, go-to-market, and executive leadership, highlighting significant changes, threats, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Apply AI, automation, and modern intelligence tools to accelerate research, monitoring, synthesis, and distribution while maintaining high standards for accuracy and signal quality.
  • Collaborate with Product and Product Marketing to incorporate intelligence into roadmaps, messaging, launches, category strategy, campaigns, and thought leadership.
  • Incorporate analyst research, industry perspectives, market data, public information, customer feedback, and third-party insights into a comprehensive view of the market.
  • Establish meaningful measures of intelligence effectiveness, including adoption, field engagement, competitive win/loss trends, effectiveness of competitive initiatives, and influence on product and go-to-market decisions.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, market intelligence, product marketing, product strategy, management consulting, industry research, or a closely related function within enterprise technology.
  • Demonstrated experience personally building or materially scaling a competitive or market intelligence program, including its systems, tools, processes, operating rhythms, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Strong competitive research and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear positioning, recommendations, enablement materials, and executive-level insights.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to independently understand enterprise infrastructure architectures, product capabilities, integrations, performance claims, and technical differentiation.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure, accelerated computing, cloud computing, data platforms, storage, memory technologies, or related enterprise infrastructure markets.
  • Experience developing field intelligence and win/loss programs and working directly with Sales, Solutions Engineering, customers, and GTM Operations.
  • Excellent primary and secondary research skills, with the ability to synthesize customer feedback, analyst research, market data, public information, and other signals into defensible points of view.
  • Exceptional written, visual, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to move from detailed analysis to concise battlecards, executive briefings, presentations, and strategic recommendations.
  • Experience using AI, automation, and competitive or market intelligence technologies to improve research speed, scalability, and quality.
  • Proven ability to influence Product, Sales, Marketing, and executive stakeholders without direct authority and translate intelligence into action.
  • Strong business judgment and an outcome-oriented approach, with the ability to prioritize the intelligence questions and competitive work most likely to affect customers, strategy, pipeline, and revenue.
  • Comfortable working as a senior individual contributor with significant autonomy in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities may evolve quickly.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or business discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Located in North America and able to travel up to 25%.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • High level of curiosity, resilience, adaptability, accountability, and collaboration, with the ability to challenge assumptions and develop informed perspectives.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support employees professionally and personally.
  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI infrastructure and contribute to strategic decisions in a rapidly evolving technology market.
  • High-autonomy senior individual contributor position with broad cross-functional exposure and meaningful business impact.
  • Collaborative environment focused on accountability, bold thinking, customer centricity, and shared success.
  • Opportunities to influence product strategy, competitive positioning, go-to-market execution, and executive decision-making.
  • Remote work environment with North America-based flexibility, subject to role and business requirements.
  • Support for professional growth through exposure to leading technology, market intelligence practices, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Commitment to an inclusive workplace where diverse perspectives and experiences are valued.
