This role plays a critical part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of footwear materials across a global supply chain. The selected specialist will act as a technical expert, identifying material risks early and driving preventive quality strategies in collaboration with cross-functional and supplier teams. The position combines hands-on problem solving with strategic quality improvement initiatives, including supplier development and training programs. It requires close engagement with product development, sourcing, and regional quality teams to ensure consistency and performance across all material types. The environment is highly collaborative, fast-paced, and innovation-driven, with strong emphasis on continuous improvement and data-based decision making. The role also supports the advancement of material standards and contributes directly to product excellence and customer satisfaction.

• Lead and support certification and training programs for footwear material suppliers to ensure alignment with quality standards and proper calibration practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of material quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain clear communication channels with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure alignment on quality expectations and technical requirements.
• Work with regional and global quality teams to assess material risks and co-develop innovative, footwear-specific quality solutions.
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations to enhance durability, performance, and consistency of footwear materials.
• Develop, standardize, and improve quality processes and guidelines across all footwear material categories.
• Oversee testing and validation activities in partnership with internal laboratories and external testing organizations to ensure compliance and product reliability.

Requirements:

• University degree in Textile Engineering, Chemistry, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in raw material R&D, manufacturing, or similar industrial environments.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies such as 5S, ISO 9001, 8D, Fishbone Diagram, and 5 Whys.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma principles and manufacturing operations is an advantage.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
