- Develop and execute portfolio profitability and growth strategies across insurance product offerings while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and market conditions.
- Analyze product performance, portfolio trends, pricing opportunities, and strategic initiatives to identify areas for optimization and business growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including underwriting, actuarial, operations, and product leadership to build long-term product roadmaps and operational strategies.
- Prioritize product enhancements, pricing initiatives, and market opportunities based on business objectives, financial impact, and customer needs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for insurance product portfolio management, providing strategic guidance and insights across the organization.
- Support the development and launch of new insurance products and state-specific initiatives in partnership with internal stakeholders and external administrators.
- Leverage structured data analysis and market intelligence tools to inform strategic decisions and improve portfolio performance.
- Assess the impact of product and regulatory changes, translating complex findings into actionable recommendations for leadership teams.
- Identify customer segmentation and profitability opportunities to improve retention, growth, and overall portfolio health.
- Mentor or support Product Analysts responsible for portfolio analysis, reporting, and strategic recommendations where applicable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience within the insurance industry, with expertise in pricing, underwriting, product management, or portfolio performance analysis.
- Previous experience in Product Management within the insurance sector is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of P&C insurance products, portfolio management principles, and regulatory environments.
- Proven ability to analyze and synthesize complex data sets to drive strategic product and business decisions.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with actuarial, underwriting, operations, and leadership teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex analysis and strategic recommendations clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
- Familiarity with market intelligence and industry analysis tools is highly desirable.
- Leadership or team management experience is considered a plus.
- Knowledge or experience related to veterinary services, animal health, or pet insurance products is highly valued.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, up to approximately 10%.
