Laurelwood Community Living Center is looking for a Housekeeper to join our growing team!

PRN
Housekeeper duties include but are not limited to:
- Clean resident rooms, offices, and common areas using standard procedures (vacuuming, mopping, wiping, polishing, etc.)
- Ensure residents’ rooms are safe, comfortable, and maintained attractively while safeguarding personal items
- Clean spills, soiled areas, and other hazards promptly
- Follow cleaning schedules and maintain equipment and supply carts
- Sweep, vacuum, scrub, strip, wax, and buff floors
- Move and replace furniture and assist in heavy lifting as needed
- Ensure proper lighting, cleanliness of storage and exterior areas
- Coordinate daily housekeeping services with other departments
- Follow all rules regarding Residents’ Rights
- Maintain safety by adhering to procedures for cleaners, hazardous materials, infection control, isolation, fire, safety, and sanitation
- Report hazardous conditions, accidents, and incidents to supervisors promptly
- Attend orientation, in-service training, and staff meetings; assist in training new staff members
- Perform other duties as assigned

- No prior experience or formal training required
- Ability to read simple words and sentences, perform basic math operations, and follow written/oral instructions
- Ability to promote positive relationships with residents, visitors, and regulators
- Physically able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift up to 50 pounds, and handle repetitive motions
- Willingness to work in environments with moderate noise, vibration, chemical exposure, and varying weather conditions
