Medical Devices Maintenance Specialist III

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Medical Devices Maintenance Specialist III based in Brazil.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technical professional to support advanced healthcare technology and ensure the reliable operation of critical medical imaging equipment. In this role, you will provide expert field service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support for sophisticated imaging systems used by healthcare providers. You will work closely with hospitals, healthcare professionals, remote support teams, and technical specialists to maximize equipment performance and customer satisfaction. The position combines hands-on engineering expertise with customer interaction, offering exposure to innovative medical technologies and continuous professional development. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working independently, and making a direct impact on healthcare delivery. Based in Cascavel, Paraná, the position requires approximately 70% travel across the assigned region.

Accountabilities
  • Provide technical service and support for medical imaging systems, ensuring equipment reliability, performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and system optimization for advanced imaging technologies.
  • Diagnose complex technical issues and collaborate with remote support teams, specialists, and cross-functional partners to deliver effective solutions.
  • Support healthcare customers by ensuring maximum equipment uptime and minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Work with imaging technologies including X-ray, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Interventional X-ray systems.
  • Maintain compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and regulatory procedures during all service activities.
  • Build strong relationships with hospitals and healthcare professionals by providing professional, responsive, and customer-focused technical support.
  • Participate in continuous training and development initiatives to stay current with evolving medical technologies and service practices.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Field Service Technician, or similar technical role supporting large medical imaging equipment.
  • Experience maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting systems such as X-ray, CT, MRI, or Interventional X-ray equipment is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Active CREA registration required.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting, diagnostic, maintenance, and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and technical teams.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based environment while managing priorities and service responsibilities.
  • Intermediate English proficiency required for technical documentation, training materials, and collaboration with global support teams.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 70% of the time and be based in or relocate to Cascavel, Paraná.
