About the Role
The PRM FSQA Manager provides leadership for all Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) programs within the facility. This position oversees food safety systems, regulatory compliance, sanitation programs, product quality, HACCP implementation, customer requirements, and quality assurance personnel while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs for the facility.
  • Oversee production practices, cattle receiving requirements, sanitation, product quality, and food safety systems.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP, SSOP, and food safety programs.
  • Ensure compliance with USDA regulations, customer specifications, and company policies.
  • Monitor food safety documentation, verification activities, microbiological testing, and environmental monitoring.
  • Investigate product quality concerns and customer complaints while supporting customer audits, plant tours, and product evaluations.
  • Lead sanitation training, research and development initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and develop FSQA Technicians.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with employees, customers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in related field and/or four (4) years of employment experience in beef industry required.
  • Must possess and maintain HACCP certifications.
  • Four (4) years of meat manufacturing employment experience required.
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience in monitoring and coordinating the activities of subordinates required.
  • Previous employment experience in beef manufacturing required.
  • Ability to work odd and irregular hours, as needed.
  • Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check.
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license and insurable driving record according to Tribal insurance guidelines.
  • Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events.
  • Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.
Essential Competencies
  • Knowledge of HACCP, SSOP, SOP, food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance programs.
  • Strong understanding of USDA regulations and experience serving as a plant liaison.
  • Ability to develop reports, spreadsheets, templates, and documentation using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to bend, lift, and stand for extended periods as required.
