Our Telemetry Unit is a 30-bed unit located on the 4th floor at Willis-Knighton Pierremont. When you work on the Telemetry unit at Willis-Knighton Pierremont, you will see medical conditions ranging from asthma to life-threatening cardiac conditions, all of which gives you the experience, training, and confidence to become a better nurse. We recover our Cardiac Cath patients who have had procedures including pacemakers and or cardiac stents. Orientation on our unit consist of 12 weeks with a trained preceptor. The patient ratio ranges from five to six patients depending on days or nights. ACLS is preferred but not mandated. As a Telemetry nurse, you will not slow down nor will you get bored.
