This role offers a dynamic field-based opportunity to build and strengthen relationships within the veterinary community while driving growth for a leading pet nutrition portfolio. You will act as a trusted partner to veterinary clinics, supporting them with scientific product knowledge and tailored business insights. Working across a defined territory in Alberta, you will combine strategic planning with hands-on execution to expand product adoption and market presence. The position blends sales expertise, education, and consultative engagement in a highly relationship-driven environment. You will play a key role in influencing veterinary recommendations and supporting improved pet health outcomes. - Develop and execute territory business plans aligned with regional sales strategies, tracking performance and adjusting as needed
- Conduct veterinary clinic business reviews using analytical tools and insights to identify growth opportunities
- Build strong relationships with veterinarians and clinic staff to promote product adoption and brand advocacy
- Deliver educational seminars and presentations on veterinary nutrition and therapeutic pet diets
- Drive sales growth by identifying new opportunities, improving product penetration, and expanding clinic engagement
- Manage CRM tools, reporting, and documentation of field activities and competitor insights
- Execute promotional initiatives and provide feedback on campaign effectiveness before and after implementation
- Maintain strong product and nutritional knowledge to effectively influence prescribing behavior
- Ensure efficient territory coverage and call planning to maximize impact across assigned accounts
- 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or veterinary clinical roles (Veterinarian or RVT experience is an asset)
- Post-secondary education in Business, Science, Agriculture, or a related field
- Strong ability to develop and execute strategic territory plans and identify growth opportunities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Proven relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven mindset
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based, remote environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel frequently within the territory
- Ability to reside within the assigned territory (Central and South Alberta)
