Gibson Gardens, a beautiful apartment community in Tacoma, WA, managed by Edison47, is seeking a Community Chef to join our team! Were looking for someone who loves to create delicious, comforting meals and enjoys building connections with the residents they serve.
As our Community Chef, youll prepare lunch and dinner for our residents, manage the kitchen budget, plan and rotate seasonal menus, and ensure the kitchen is stocked and running smoothly. If you thrive in a warm, people-focused environment and find joy in cooking for others, this is the perfect opportunity to share your craft. ________________________________________ What Youll Do Plan, prepare, and serve daily lunch and dinner for residents. Develop menu plans that balance nutrition, taste, and variety. Order, inventory, and manage supplies while staying within budget. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety standards. Coordinate with community management to support special events and holiday meals. Build relationships with residents through friendly, consistent service and a genuine love of hospitality. Schedule: Monday through Friday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM ________________________________________ What Were Looking For Prior experience as a Chef, Cook, or Kitchen Manager (community dining experience preferred). Strong menu planning, budgeting, and inventory management skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a small, community-focused setting. Current Food Handlers Permit (or ability to obtain one prior to start date).
