Nursing Assistant/CNA at Hilllside Terrace – Ann Arbor, Michigan

About the Role

As a Nursing Assistant, you’ll provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities while supporting residents’ physical comfort, emotional well-being, and dignity. You’ll work alongside nurses and care team members to deliver high-quality care guided by our Hillside values. This role is ideal for caregivers who want to build genuine relationships and be part of a supportive, team-focused environment.

What You’ll Do

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Support residents during meals and with hydration
• Provide incontinence care with professionalism and respect
• Safely transfer residents using mechanical lifts and mobility equipment (training provided)
• Monitor residents’ condition and report changes to the nurse on duty
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with residents, families, and team members

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with seniors or in a caregiving role (senior living or memory care preferred)
• Ability to lift, move, and assist residents safely, including use of mechanical lifts
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Comfort providing personal care, including incontinence care
• Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented approach

Preferred Qualifications

• CNA certification
• Experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care

Schedule Options

• Afternoon / Evening Shifts available (2pm-10pm)
• Midnight Shifts available (10pm-6am)
• Consistent scheduling available
