JOB TITLE: Data Analyst III

REPORTS TO: Manager, Data & Analytics

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing moderate to complex-level technical, analytical, and reporting support for the Claims, Provider, Finance, Enrollment, Utilization Management, and compliance departments' programs and reporting needs. Must have extensive working experience in relational databases and process automation. In addition to technical data concepts, one must have the desire to learn and be able to conduct detailed analysis and provide results. Is responsible for managing reporting projects to ensure that data and analysis requests are completed timely, accurate manner to meet the needs of the requesting department.

1. Work with requestors to determine needs and objectives, and ensure the delivered report is accurate, timely, and formatted appropriately.
2. Manage assigned projects and effectively communicate with the requestor and leadership team any project roadblocks that may jeopardize deadlines in advance of due dates.
3. Document all coding/analysis/reporting projects following established protocols to ensure transparency and repeatability.
4. Collaborates and maintains effective working relationships with management, internal departments, and external vendors.
5. Adheres to Compliance Plan and HIPAA regulations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Public Health, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field required.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, 8 or more years of experience with reporting and analytics with data analysis, extraction, and manipulation in a healthcare setting utilizing SQL
• Experience with SQL (TSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL etc.), MS SQL Server, relational databases, and BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, etc.) is required
• Prior experience in data modeling, SSIS, SSRS, Python, high-level programming language, using ETL tools (Informatica, AWS Glue, fivetran, etc.), a plus.
• EZCap experience
• 4+ years of experience with moderate to complex SQL reporting and analytics with data analysis, extraction, and manipulation of healthcare data (medical claims, enrollment/eligibility, membership data etc.)
• 4+ years designing reports, automating reports, and developing executive-level presentations.
• 3+ years of experience in a healthcare delivery or healthcare business setting preferred.
• 2+ years designing and delivering dashboards in a BI tool
