SUMMARY OF THE JOB:
The Vice President of Admissions (VPA) provides strategic leadership and oversight for
all University admissions and recruitment functions. This role is responsible for
developing and executing enrollment strategies that align with Hallmark University’s
mission of transforming lives through superior skills, knowledge, and character. The
VPA ensures compliance with institutional policies, accreditation standards, and
regulatory requirements while driving sustainable student population growth. This
position carries direct responsibility for achieving enrollment targets and contributing to
institutional financial sustainability as part of Hallmark’s long-term strategic plan. The
VPA oversees all aspects of new student recruitment including high school outreach, call
center operations, admissions processing, and the performance of all enrollment advisors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive admissions and recruitment strategy that supports Hallmark’s Institutional Strategic Goals, particularly Growth (IG2) and Community Engagement & Awareness (IG5).
- Provide direct leadership to the Director of Recruitment (responsible for admissions call center operations and high school outreach/recruitment),
- Associate Director of Admissions, Enrollment Operations Manager, and all Enrollment Advisors.
- Ensure compliance with all admissions policies, procedures, and criteria outlined in the Hallmark University Catalog.
- Develop and manage enrollment forecasting and conversion strategies to achieve enrollment and revenue goals.
- Oversee the recruitment pipeline including outreach, lead management, interview processes, admissions committee operations, and enrollment agreements.
- Drive innovation in recruitment marketing and outreach, including partnerships with area school districts, articulation agreements, area businesses, and initiatives supporting active-duty military and veteran populations.
- Collaborate with Academic Affairs, Student Services, and Marketing to ensure smooth transition from inquiry to enrollment to student success.
- Establish performance metrics, dashboards, and accountability systems for enrollment advisors and operations staff.
- Lead professional development, training, and coaching for all admissions personnel to improve service quality, compliance, and performance outcomes.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor practices, and demographic shifts to adjust admissions strategies.
- Ensure alignment of recruitment practices with Hallmark’s mission, values, and character education model.
- Conduct and organize regular admissions leadership and team meetings to ensure clarity of goals, consistency of process, and staff engagement.
- Participate in institutional planning, accreditation reviews, and compliance reporting related to admissions and enrollment.
- Support the advancement of diversity in student recruitment and promote equitable access to all programs.

- Knowledge of enrollment management systems, CRM tools, and admissions technologies.
- Understanding of federal/state regulations, accreditation standards, and admissions policies.
- Ability to foster teamwork, motivate staff, and instill accountability.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Higher Education Administration, Business, or related field (Masters preferred).
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive leadership in higher education admissions, recruitment, or enrollment management.
- Demonstrated success in enrollment growth, staff leadership, and compliance oversight.
- Preferred: Experience with CRM/SIS implementation and optimization to enhance operational efficiency and enrollment outcomes.
