  • Daycare experience in a center-based or private school setting
  • A nurturing demeanor and a love for infants and their development
  • A minimum of one year of experience working in an infant classroom, practicing safe feeding/sleeping, diapering, sanitation, and sensory and motor development support

  • Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday
  • Attentiveness, strong time management, and a team-focused mindset
As an Infant Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Keeping parents informed by posting parent information on the Class Dojo app and classroom boards.
  • Providing a safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing classrooms.
  • Encouraging children’s participation by providing age-appropriate interactive activities.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the classroom: routine opening/closing of the classroom (including, but not limited to wiping down the toys, cleaning tables, vacuuming the room, sanitizing the room (after all children have left), bathrooms, emptying trash, and overall preparation of the classroom for the next morning.
  • Engaging with students in free play, supervising/zone during outdoor time, helping with bathroom needs and diapering, bottle and meal assistance (preparing bottles, heating up lunches, cutting up food, helping open containers, supervision), naptime assistance, etc.
  • Adhering to infants' individual feeding and sleeping schedules.
  • Tracking children’s progress and completing assessments.
  • Maintaining your EEC required professional development hours and PQ registry.
