FirstLight Home Care of Dothan is seeking experienced caregivers to provide in-home support to seniors and adults throughout the Wiregrass area.

Position Overview:
Caregivers are assigned to ongoing client cases and provide essential daily support in a home setting. We prioritize consistency and continuity of care, and we value caregivers who take ownership of their cases and build strong, lasting relationships with clients.

Scheduling & Availability:
- Daytime availability typically falls between 7am–7pm
- Overnight availability typically falls between 7pm–7am
- Shift lengths range from 4–12 hours depending on client needs
- Schedules are assigned based on client needs, while taking availability into consideration
- Opportunity to build consistent hours over time
- Weekend and holiday availability may be required

Key Responsibilities:
Personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
Meal preparation and feeding assistance
Companionship and emotional support
Mobility assistance and fall prevention
Medication reminders
Light housekeeping related to client care
Transportation as needed

Compensation & Benefits:
$12.00–$14.00 per hour
Additional $1.25/hour for select VA clients
Loyalty bonuses at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year

Important Note on Scheduling:
Caregiver schedules are built through ongoing client assignments. While we aim to provide consistent hours, schedules may vary based on client needs, preferences, and continuity of care. Caregivers with more open availability typically receive more consistent scheduling opportunities.

Requirements:
- At least 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience preferred (in-home care, assisted living, or similar)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Able to work with pets in the home
- Professional, dependable, and compassionate
