About This Position
Our agency client believes what a brand does is far more important than what it says. They specialize in delivering integrated thinking across all consumer channels (digital, social, retail, sponsorship and events) that help solve the biggest brand challenges and they do it for some of the country’s biggest and most respected brands.
We’re looking for a Senior Copywriter and team player to join our team to bring big conceptual thinking, smart social mindset, clever and witty writing and team, and be a cultural force to help elevate the work to the next level. This is a 12 month contract, with the potential to convert to full time.
We’re looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in the agency world, who is equal parts thinker and maker.
This is not a “just write the headline” role. You’ll be a strategic thinker - someone who can generate big ideas and brand experiences, bring them to life across channels with sharp, smart, culturally fluent writing.
You’ll partner closely with Art Directors, Designers, Strategists and Account leads to create work that earns attention - not just buys it. You understand that great ideas today have to live socially, travel organically, and spark conversation.

Develop big campaign ideas alongside creative partners and strategists.
Write across platforms: integrated campaigns, social content, video scripts, manifestos, OOH, experiential, earned ideas, brand voice guidelines, and more.
Translate strategy into compelling creative concepts and sharp copy.
Bring a social and earned-first lens to every brief.
Contribute to pitch work and new business initiatives.
Present work internally and to clients with confidence and clarity.
Help evolve and protect brand voices across touch points.
Stay tapped into culture and proactively bring emerging trends, behaviours and creative inspiration to the team.
- You have 5-10 years of agency experience, with a portfolio that shows conceptual strength and craft.
- You’re a big idea thinker - you don’t just write lines, you build worlds.
- You’re a smart, clever writer who understands tone, nuance, rhythm, and restraint.
- You can effortlessly shift between brand voices - from playful to premium, irreverent to emotional- without losing authenticity.
- You are social-first in your thinking. You understand how ideas travel in culture, how they’re shared, remixed, and talked about.
- You think in earned ideas: stunts, partnerships, cultural hooks, PR-able moments and not just paid placements.
- You’re culturally tuned in. You care about what’s happening in music, art, internet culture, sport, fashion, tech - because that’s where ideas come from.
- You’re collaborative, ego-light, and energized by building something together.
- You take pride in craft: every word matters.
2-5 years experience in a creative agency environment.
A portfolio that demonstrates strong conceptual thinking and versatile writing craft.
Experience developing integrated campaigns (not just tactical executions).
Proven ability to write in multiple tones and brand voices.
Strong understanding of social platforms and how ideas gain traction organically.
Experience contributing to earned-led or PR-able ideas is a strong asset.
Comfort presenting work and defending creative rationale.
Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
$90,000 - $115,000 a year
