About This Position
The Recruiter will assist the Site Managers in filling vacant positions by actively seeking out qualified candidates through networking systems and social media marketing. The Recruiter will treat everyone in a professional, respectful and dignified manner while upholding Palmer Bus Service’s core values
Requirements:Essential Functions
- Meet with hiring managers to define the requirements for vacant positions.
- Research updated sourcing techniques.
- Search resume databases and portfolio sites.
- Use search options to find qualified candidates.
- Advertise open positions to external networks.
- Post advertisements on job sites and on social media.
- Join social media groups and professional networks and interact with potential candidates.
- Attend job fairs to source new candidates and to network.
- Seek referrals from current employees, acquaintances and industry professionals.
Other Functions
- Maintaining candidate databases.
- Maintaining contact with passive candidate and follow-up when necessary.
- Negotiating terms of hire with potential candidates.
- Preparing and presenting recruiting/hiring reports for managerial staff including but not limited to source of hire and time-to-fill for each role.
- Research and recommend new sourcing tools and techniques.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Obtain credentials to be a notary
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Desire advanced degree or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience and knowledge of recruiting candidates.
- Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid Minnesota Driver’s License.
Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include:
- Able to effectively manage relationships.
- Advanced negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding and history of successful customer service.
- Good analytical, verbal, written, presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrate ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
- Able to interact/communicate successfully with personnel at all levels.
- Able to develop and implement process improvement.
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively. Ability organize work, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient PC skills to Google Drive.
Specific ability-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include:
- Self-starter with proven analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to exercise confidentiality, tact, diplomacy and independent judgment in performance of duties.
- Able to make quick decisions.
- Must be able to qualify and obtain CDL School Bus license in the state of Minnesota
Physical Requirements
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, lift, carry, move about, hear and speak.
- Employee may be required to perform extensive work at a computer display terminal.
- Travel by car for extended periods of time.
