Job Description
In this role, the Lead Quality Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) within an IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) operation. This role ensures full compliance with ISO standards, R2v3 certification requirements, and data security protocols, while driving operational excellence across all processing, data destruction, and downstream vendor management activities.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining certification readiness, leading audits, ensuring environmental and data compliance, and aligning quality processes with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain QMS aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, ISO 45001, and R2v3
- Ensure SOPs and documentation are controlled and audit-ready
- Lead all certification audits (internal/external)
- Define quality standards across ITAD lifecycle
- Reduce defects and rework
- Ensure OSHA and environmental compliance
- Support audits and client requirements
- Manage escalations and quality issues
- Lead and develop quality team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Environmental Science, Operations, or related field (preferred)
- 5 + years of quality management experience in ITAD, electronics recycling, manufacturing, or regulated operations(preferred)
- 5+ years in a leadership experience
- R2v3 and ISO experience required
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Certifications (Preferred)
- R2 Auditor
- ISO Lead Auditor
- Six Sigma
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Combination of office and warehouse/production floor
- Exposure to electronic processing equipment, noise, and material handling
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs as needed
- Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time in US / Mexico
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
This position is fully onsite and requires daily presence at our facility. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role.
