Description:
SFCC provides a high-quality, geographically, financially and emotionally accessible education to students who range from traditional college-age students to adult learners.
The college offers associate of arts, associate of fine arts, associate of science and associate of applied science degrees, professional and skills certificates, and noncredit courses and programs, and workforce development training in a 14-county area in central Missouri with locations in Sedalia, Boonville, Clinton, Eldon, Lake of the Ozarks, Warsaw, at Whiteman Air Force Base, and online.
Position Purpose: The Head Women’s Soccer Coach will help assist with practices, games, and any other duties assigned. Individual will advise student-athletes and help benefit SFCC Soccer Program.
Essential Job Functions:
- Performs management of all aspects of the women's soccer sport programs to include coaching, scheduling, organizing practice, arranging for team travel, budget management, and public relations development.
- Identifies and recruits academically qualified student athletes and counsels the student athlete toward graduation.
- Performs athletic administration and support activities.
- Directs conditioning of players to achieve maximum athletic performance.
- Operates within the guidelines of State Fair Community College, NJCAA and Region 16 rules and regulations.
- Communicates with members of the media.
- Manages and performs all field maintenance.
- Assists with game day operations and ensures proper watering practices
- Performs all duties required for proper game day operation, including field set up and breakdown. (i.e., Officials and score table tent, stereo speakers and system, and scoreboard operations.)
- Performs weekend and evening maintenance and/or operations are required.
- Manages the budget for the team.
- Monitors academic progress of student players.
- A willingness to take on additional responsibility and work collaboratively, both within the unit and campus wide
- Other duties as deemed necessary for the function of the college.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited four-year college or university and five years coaching experience on at minimum a high school level required.
- Master's degree and head coach of high school or collegiate coaching experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with Class E 15 passenger endorsement and ability to meet college’s insurance requirements for driving SFCC vehicles.

- Ability to teach and advise student-athletes throughout season.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to interact verbally in person, over the telephone, and via written and electronic media.
- Ability to travel for games and other events.
- Ability to move about campus and other locations.
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
