Maintenance Technician at AMG Vanadium – Zanesville, Ohio

Responsibilities and Duties (other duties as assigned)

• Comply with all AMG V policies, and procedures, safety and environmental requirements, and AMG’s Code of Business Conduct
• Embrace and promote the AMG V culture in all day-to-day activities
• Ensure continuous operation of the Plant by routinely completing preventive maintenance checks on production equipment, machines, engines, motors, hydraulic valves/cylinders, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, etc.
• Troubleshoot and identify faulty machine and equipment through observation and testing metrics
• Remove, replace defective parts/equipment and restore operations to achieve maximum uptime and minimize production downtime; comply with all safety, environmental and code requirements when repairing equipment
• Source replacement parts in accordance with required specification
• Utilize machine/welding skills to fabricate repairs for non-routine/non-mechanical metal fatigue failures
• Follow scheduled maintenance work order system and participate in planning of required maintenance mechanical support during scheduled outages
• Work closely with Engineering and Production Departments as required
• Support preventative maintenance training of non-maintenance team members
• Understand roles and responsibilities in support of production team’s operational goals and metrics
• Utilize principals of lean manufacturing, including 6S, to support operational and process improvements
• Perform other duties as may be required
• Assist with mechanical repairs and general maintenance support activities throughout plant as required
• Understand roles and responsibilities in support of operational metrics
• Work closely with Engineering and Production Departments as required
• Support preventative maintenance training of non-maintenance team members
