About This Position

Description:

SUMMARY OBJECTIVE

Powder Machine operators are responsible for setting up, monitoring, and maintaining machines and equipment used in production lines. Additional responsibilities include feeding raw materials into machines, operating machines, and testing finished materials for compliance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ability to follow proper procedures for daily start-up and shutdown of plant
  • Performs pre-screening of raw material
  • Bagging (50 pound and one ton)
  • Blending of raw material per customer specs.
  • Proper and safe operation of AC Mill; Roller Pendular Mill; Jet Mill
  • Accurately test and document final product per customer specs.
  • Responsible for re-tagging by - Product with sizing, Bag number, and Lot number as applicable
  • Collects pre and post raw material samples in a timely manner for lab testing
  • Accountable for documenting Lot number and weight; as well as labor hours.
  • Ensure material is properly package and presentable for shipping
  • Responsible for maintenance of clean and orderly work environment
Requirements:

JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required.
  • At least 3 years of related experience working within a material and/or logistics manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Ability to move material & equipment weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Frequently ascends/descends a ladder while carrying material.
  • Able to frequently bend at waist and legs.
  • Able to respond quickly to sounds and hand signals.
  • Able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.
  • Able to withstand hot temperatures in the production areas.
  • Able to follow instructions and adhere to all company safety procedures.
  • Willingness to learn and retain information.
