Escrow and Collateral Clerk at Farmers & Merchants Bank – Saint Clair, Missouri

BASIC FUNCTION:

Escrow/Collateral Clerk to handle escrow accounts for Mortgage and Commercial Loan Department. Responsible for maintaining collateral for Consumer, Mortgage & Commercial collateral.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

· Open and review daily insurance mail

· Review daily, weekly and monthly escrow report

· Contact insurance agents for missing insurance invoices

· Prepare county tax spreadsheets for tax payments

· Process payments for taxes and insurance on all escrowed loans

· Mail out rate change/escrow analysis notices

· Manage blanket insurance

· Track Insurance not covered by blanket coverage

· Track life insurance policies held as collateral

· Quote/ Process payoff for all loans

· Break down paid note files

· Prepare releases

· Monitor closed loan files for final title and recorded deeds

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

· Knowledge of CSI NuPoint is preferred.

· Excellent customer service skills

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

· Attention to detail; must be accurate and meticulous

· Good work ethics and reliability; maintaining confidentiality of customer information

· Good analytical skills

· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (file folders)

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

· High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

· 1 year banking experience

· Excellent analytical and mathematical skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is a full-time position, typically 38 +/- hours per work week between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday; 8:00 am and 6:00 pm on Friday and rotating Saturdays from 7:45 am to 12:15 pm.
