About This Position

Position Description:

The Receptionist will be responsible for answering, screening, and directing phone calls, as well as supporting student intake at a Restore satellite location. Key duties include responding to phone inquiries, accurately entering student data into the appropriate database, and communicating with the Intake Team to ensure student needs are addressed. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, hired by and directly accountable to the Intake Coordinator and the Director of Outcomes.

Status: Non-exempt
Schedule: Full-time, with scheduled hours Monday-Thursday 8:45 am-5:30 pm and Friday 9:00 am-2 pm. Some Evenings and Weekends required.
Location: Restore Education Eastside Center for Excellence
Note: Schedule and location(s) are subject to change.

Responsibilities
Create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for program applicants and students.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions in a warm and professional manner.
Answer, screen, and direct phone calls while assisting incoming students.
Gather, compile, and accurately enter student data into Salesforce and other tracking systems.
Communicate with the Intake Team to address student inquiries and ensure accurate records.
Identify and report any recordkeeping discrepancies to the Intake Coordinator.
Adapt to immediate needs and provide suggestions to improve processes.
Maintain on-going communication with program management and staff.
Participate in required staff trainings, staff development sessions, and meetings.
Assist with periodic file audits
Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required and/or assigned.

Education and Experience
HS Diploma or GED required.
Associates degree or 60 college credit hours preferred.
Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in customer service, front desk/reception, clerical support, recordkeeping, or intake in an educational or community setting.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and internet navigation.
Experience entering and managing data in Salesforce or similar database systems preferred.
Ability to operate standard office equipment and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling student information.
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and in varied situations.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, students, and visitors.
Strong interpersonal skills with students and adults in educational or professional settings.
Willingness to learn new processes and acquire new skills.

Estimated Hourly Rate: $16.00-$17.00 per hour

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
Must possess a valid Class C Texas Drivers License or obtain a valid Class C Texas Drivers License within thirty (30) days after becoming a resident of the State of Texas.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical requirements include visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, bending, twisting, carrying/lifting course materials, and walking to perform the essential functions.
