About the Role:
Texas Care Lewisville is seeking a compassionate and motivated Qualified Mental Health Professional – Community Services (QMHP-CS) to work with both adults and children experiencing depression, anxiety, anger, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
The QMHP’s main focus when working with adults is to help them develop functional and independent living skills, locate community resources, and provide ongoing support and linkage.
For children, the focus is on providing training to improve communication skills, problem-solving, anger management, social skills, and interpersonal interactions.
Most of the QMHP’s time will be spent delivering services in family homes and community settings, not just in the office. We’re looking for someone with a strong passion for people, solid leadership/mentoring skills, and a solution-oriented mindset.
Job Environment:
The QMHP will provide services in homes, the community, and occasionally in-office settings.
Minimum Qualifications:
QMHP-CS must meet one of the following:

(A) Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human growth and development, physician assistant, gerontology, special education, educational psychology, early childhood education, or early childhood intervention; or
-
(B) Be a Registered Nurse; or
-
(C) Have at least 2 years of experience providing intensive therapeutic services to children/adolescents with behavioral challenges.
About Your Role:
As a QMHP, you'll be responsible for providing strengths-based training using evidence-based practices to help clients (adults and children) build skills and thrive.
You will work closely with a QMHP Supervisor to deliver the following services:

Skill Training & Development

Medication Training & Support
-
Crisis Intervention
You'll implement a Service/Treatment Plan tailored to the client’s needs and strengths, with input from the client, their family, and other supports.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Deliver one-on-one skills training in the home or community using evidence-based practices.

Provide support and crisis/emergency services via in-person, phone, or on-call systems.

Maintain all client documentation in the electronic health record.

Write clear, timely, and accurate progress notes that meet Texas Administrative Code standards.

Build rapport with clients and families through effective listening and emotional support.

Keep records compliant with regulatory standards. Promptly submit required documentation.

Keep families and team members informed on progress toward Service Plan goals.

Assist clients with daily living tasks (e.g., budgeting, behavior management, transportation, time management).

Collaborate with courts, probation, tribal/community agencies, families, and other support systems.

Help clients practice communication, problem-solving, and anger management skills.

Attend staff meetings, company programs, and monthly/professional development training as required.

Must have your own vehicle, cell phone, and access to a computer/laptop and printer (for work outside the office).
Job Type: Full-time | 1099 or W2
Salary:

$8/hour base pay

$22.00 – $28.50 per billable hour
-
PLUS stipend pay (on top of hourly and billable pay)
