Description:

FilePoint® seeks a detail-oriented team player in our Raleigh North Carolina office to process electronic filings for distribution to the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The Production Intern is responsible for assisting the production team that works with clients to prepare information across several phases which include converting financial reports in Microsoft Excel to HTML while ensuring SEC guidelines are met. Knowledge of the investment/SEC industry is not required. Applicants with advanced computer skills are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates must be organized and work well in a customer-driven, team-oriented environment under tight deadlines.

Undergoing new hire training that encompasses the following:

  • Developing a strong foundation of FilePoint’s mission and guiding principles
  • Understanding the purpose of our service and how our practices have been successful within the financial service industry
  • Attaining a general overview of each service offering
  • Progressing through a guided training matrix to develop skillsets for use to fulfill ongoing responsibilities

Ongoing responsibilities include:

  • Database maintenance such as client data updates and entering projects according to job forecast
  • Assisting with printing and mailing activity, inclusive of transporting documents to places such as FedEx for delivery.
  • Using software such as Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office to produce prep files, PDF and Word exports upon client completion of progress or in advance of kicking off the next project
  • Assist the production team by helping to post documents to the web upon client need or request
  • Answering phones and forwarding calls to the appropriate parties
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:

  • Strong computer skills
  • Works well with others in a team environment
  • Accountability to complete independent tasks successfully
  • Good with people and technology
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 360 (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe InDesign, customer service and comfortable working with printers
  • Ability to drive own vehicle for mail delivery drop off
