About This Position

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team in the school clinics. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to healthcare professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic, and delivering exceptional patient care. You will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the overall success of the clinic and the satisfaction of our patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant
  • Experience with phlebotomy and specimen processing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a medical clinic or hospital setting
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) software
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities:

  • Performing clinical duties such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with medical procedures
  • Collecting and processing specimens, including blood and urine samples
  • Maintaining medical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are clean and sterilized
  • Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and managing inventory

Skills:

As a Medical Assistant, you will utilize your skills in medical assisting, phlebotomy, and specimen processing on a daily basis. You will also need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Additionally, you may use your administrative skills to manage patient records and order supplies. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential to your success in this role.
