Administrative Assistant/Medical Staff Coordinator in Thibodaux, Louisiana at Thibodaux Regional Health System

Functions both as a Medical Staff Coordinator and as an Executive Assistant to the CFO. Medical Staff Coordinator: Responsible for management, coordination, and oversight of the Medical Staff Services Department, including all physician and allied health credentialing and recredentialing, meeting management, flow of information from medical staff committees through the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Board. Assists with The Joint Commission Survey preparation for the medical staff/leadership function, and medical staff education regarding accreditation standards. Works closely with medical staff leaders, hospital administration and legal counsel with regard to medical bylaws issues. Administrative Assistant: Manages the day-to-day function of the Administrative Office under the direct supervision of the CFO. Coordinates all meetings, projects, and provides clerical assistance for CFO as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree desired

Previous Experience:

1. Previous experience in a Medical Staff Services Administrative position required

Other Special Training/Skills:

1. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing
2. Willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule as needed.

Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.:

1. CMSC and/or CPCS Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services required, or obtained within three years
