This role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex power system projects supporting the ongoing energy transition.
You will work across renewable energy integration, transmission and generation planning, HVDC, energy storage, and other advanced power system applications.
The position combines technical analysis, network modeling, client engagement, and detailed engineering deliverables.
You’ll collaborate with experienced professionals across a global, multidisciplinary team on projects with real-world energy-system impact.
The role provides significant autonomy while offering opportunities to expand technical expertise and take on greater leadership responsibilities.
Flexible remote working supports a healthy balance between professional delivery and personal life.
You’ll help develop reliable, resilient, and future-ready energy infrastructure across North America and beyond.

Accountabilities
  • Perform power system analysis and network modeling in line with client specifications, reliability requirements, regulations, and power quality objectives.

  • Conduct technical studies covering generation interconnection, voltage stability, arc-flash energy, insulation coordination, power station design, and related power system applications.

  • Work with network simulation and engineering tools to analyze system performance and develop technically sound solutions.

  • Prepare detailed technical reports, engineering documentation, and other client-facing deliverables.

  • Collaborate with global engineering teams to execute studies efficiently and maintain high-quality technical standards.

  • Manage client relationships and expectations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

  • Contribute to business development initiatives by identifying potential opportunities and supporting relationships with existing and prospective clients.

  • Apply technical expertise to complex problems and contribute to innovative approaches across renewable, transmission, storage, and other evolving energy projects.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, ideally with a specialization or strong focus on power systems.

  • 4+ years of professional experience in power systems engineering, with an understanding of power networks, generation, and transmission planning.

  • At least 2 years of experience working with PJM Interconnection, which may be gained alongside broader power systems engineering experience.

  • Experience with network simulation software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerWorld, DigSILENT, or PSLF.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an interest in addressing complex technical power system challenges.

  • Knowledge of control systems, signals, and control theory is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with power electronics or a strong interest in the field is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and operate effectively with appropriate autonomy.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation and engage confidently with clients.

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with geographically distributed, multidisciplinary teams.

  • Willingness to contribute to client development and business development activities.

  • Eligible to work in the United States; overseas applications are not accepted for this position.

Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary range of $100,000–$126,698 USD, with final compensation determined by relevant experience, education, training, certifications, location, and other applicable factors.

  • Eligibility for a profit-sharing program, subject to applicable program rules and individual and organizational performance.

  • Fully remote or flexible working arrangements within the United States, with office and hybrid options where applicable.

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.

  • 401(k) plan with company match.

  • Short- and long-term disability coverage and basic life insurance.

  • Well-being benefits and additional employee support programs.

  • 10 scheduled paid holidays and 10 days of sick leave annually.

  • Up to 15 days of accrued paid vacation for regular full-time employees.

  • Opportunities to work on diverse projects across renewable energy, HVDC, storage, transmission, and power systems.

  • Professional development opportunities, technical learning, and potential career progression into specialized or leadership roles.

  • A collaborative international environment with autonomy, flexibility, and meaningful opportunities to contribute to the energy transition.
