PROGRAM MANAGER in Janesville, Wisconsin at AMTEC Corporation

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the execution of one or more simultaneous programs under development or in production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. The program manager is responsible for the execution of one or more simultaneous programs under development according to the released Product Life Cycle/Phase Review process from program approval through volume production.
2. The program manager is responsible for the execution of one or more simultaneous production released programs to meet delivery, quality, and performance requirements.
3. Lead program teams and facilitate the communication and interaction among the functional representatives.
4. Track program against its schedule, quality, budget and against phase review objectives, while reporting status to supervisor on a regular basis and executive staff on an as needed basis.
5. Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated eventualities.
6. Coordinate with customers, to provide necessary program status and obtain customer feedback.
7. Lead program teams and facilitate the communication and interaction among the functional representatives.
8. Regular attendance is required.
9. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work area.
10. Perform all other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor and provides direction for other positions on the team.

POSITION TYPE:

This is a Salaried-Exempt full-time position.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical or business discipline.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. MBA.
2. Ten years of experience in a Defense Industry or Automotive Industry is a plus.
3. Previous program management experience.
4. Experience in more than one of the following disciplines: development engineering, process engineering, finance, operations.
