About the role
The Damages Coordinator is a client-centered role critical to personal injury case progression during treatment and demand preparation. This position builds strong, trusting client relationships by offering compassionate guidance, regular updates, and outstanding customer service from intake through resolution. The coordinator collaborates closely with attorneys on case strategy and negotiations, monitors medical treatment, collects and organizes documents for demand packages, tracks expenses, maintains proactive communication with insurance adjusters and medical providers, coordinates final case disbursements, and efficiently manages a high-volume caseload with strong organization and attention to detail. What you'll do
- Client Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain a meaningful relationship with clients, providing guidance throughout the legal process.
- Address client concerns and keep them informed about case progress with exceptional customer service from inception to resolution.
- Collaboration with Attorneys:
- Work closely with the assigned attorney to develop effective case strategies.
- Monitor the client's medical treatment, assist with negotiations, and schedule client meetings as needed.
- Document Gathering and Organization:
- Collect and organize all necessary documents for demand preparation and case development.
- Expense Tracking:
- Track and document case expenses throughout the different stages of the case.
- Communication with Key Parties:
- Maintain regular communication and foster good relationships with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and other involved parties to obtain necessary information and updates.
- Case Disbursement Coordination:
- Coordinate case disbursements by gathering all final medical bills and expenses.
- Caseload Management:
- Efficiently manage a high-volume caseload of 100+ files, ensuring timely and effective case handling.
Qualifications
- Bilingual – English & Spanish (required).
- Strong problem solving, technical, and analytical skills.
- Exceptional time management, documentation, and attention to detail skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of Personal Injury experience.
