Analyst, Cybercrime Intelligence Analysis

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Analyst, Cybercrime Intelligence Analysis based in United Kingdom.

This is a highly analytical, intelligence-driven role focused on uncovering, interpreting, and operationalizing insights about cybercriminal ecosystems and emerging threats. You will work at the intersection of cybersecurity and intelligence analysis, transforming complex data from diverse sources into actionable intelligence that helps organizations anticipate and mitigate real-world cyber threats. The role involves deep investigation into adversary behavior, underground forums, intrusion campaigns, and evolving attack techniques. You will contribute to the production of high-quality intelligence reports, briefings, and tactical assessments used by security teams worldwide. Working within a globally distributed, cross-functional team, you will help strengthen defensive capabilities across industries by enabling faster, more informed security decisions. This position is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical thinking with curiosity about cybercrime ecosystems and a passion for intelligence-led security work.

Accountabilities:
  • Analyze cyber adversaries, emerging threats, intrusion campaigns, and cybercriminal activities to produce actionable intelligence outputs.
  • Collect, validate, and interpret information from multiple sources to generate tactical intelligence products and threat insights.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used in cyber intrusions and criminal operations.
  • Perform attribution analysis and identify connections between threat actors, infrastructure, and activity clusters.
  • Use intelligence platforms, analytical tools, and structured methodologies to enhance research quality and reporting accuracy.
  • Deliver timely, independent intelligence support for customer requests, investigations, and bespoke threat intelligence requirements.
  • Contribute to data collection initiatives and support AI-enhanced and automated intelligence workflows.
  • Produce intelligence briefings, bulletins, and reports covering adversary profiles, regional threats, and industry-specific risks.
  • Collaborate with a global intelligence team to ensure consistent, high-quality intelligence production and knowledge sharing.
  • Support internal and external briefings, helping communicate insights that enhance awareness and go-to-market initiatives.
Requirements
  • Solid understanding of cyber threat intelligence (CTI) and its role in supporting security operations and risk mitigation.
  • Experience or familiarity with security functions such as SOC, Incident Response, Threat Hunting, Vulnerability Management, or Fraud Prevention.
  • Knowledge of security technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, TIP platforms, firewalls, IPS, IAM, and cloud security controls.
  • Strong understanding of the cybercriminal ecosystem, including malware operations, phishing campaigns, fraud schemes, and underground services.
  • Proficiency in OSINT research techniques and related analytical tools.
  • Familiarity with intelligence frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, Diamond Model, or Pyramid of Pain.
  • Experience applying structured analytical thinking, critical reasoning, and bias mitigation techniques.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a globally distributed, remote team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear, structured intelligence reports.
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity-related domains such as threat intelligence, incident response, malware analysis, red teaming, or penetration testing is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent intelligence tasks.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a proactive mindset toward researching and understanding evolving cyber threats.
