Job Summary

As Director of Marketing, you will serve as the strategic architect of OneCloud's brand presence, market positioning, and revenue-driving marketing initiatives. This role requires a visionary leader who can align marketing strategy with OneCloud's growth objectives — expanding market share in the telecom and SaaS space, elevating brand awareness in the Charlotte metro market and beyond and supporting the sales organization with high-quality demand generation. You will balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution, driving measurable results while building and developing a high-performing marketing team.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Brand Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with OneCloud's growth objectives in the telecommunications and technology sectors
- Partner with the COO and executive leadership team to define marketing priorities, set annual goals, and align brand messaging with OneCloud's mission and values
- Establish and protect OneCloud's brand identity across all channels, ensuring consistent voice, visual standards, and messaging in the Charlotte metro and target markets
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities within the telecom and SaaS landscape to maintain OneCloud's competitive positioning
Demand Generation & Customer Acquisition
- Oversee the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, email, social media, paid search, and events to drive qualified leads
- Lead high-quality content development — including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, and videos — that positions OneCloud as a thought leader in telecommunications and cloud solutions
- Oversee lead generation initiatives, ensuring a consistent pipeline of high-quality opportunities for the OneCloud sales team
- Represent OneCloud at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and community initiatives to build brand visibility and strategic partnerships
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of marketing professionals, including content creators, designers, demand generation specialists, and analysts
- Manage team performance, set clear objectives, and foster a culture of accountability, creativity, and continuous professional development
- Negotiate and manage relationships with third-party marketing agencies, vendors, and strategic partners
Analytics, Reporting & Technology
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure campaign effectiveness, ROI, and overall marketing program success
- Provide regular performance reporting and strategic insights to executive leadership
- Manage and optimize OneCloud's marketing technology stack, including CRM, email automation, and analytics platforms
- Manage the marketing department budget, ensuring expenditures deliver measurable return on investment
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to align marketing efforts with business development and retention goals
- Partner with HR on employer branding initiatives to support OneCloud's talent acquisition and retention strategy
- Foster relationships with industry influencers, media outlets, and community organizations that elevate OneCloud's profile in the market
Required Skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical offerings into compelling market narratives
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Experience with marketing analytics and tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, Salesforce, or Marketo
- Deep understanding of digital marketing, branding, and demand generation best practices
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; MBA preferred
- 5–7 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Experience in a telecommunications, SaaS, or technology company strongly preferred
- Proven track record of developing and executing marketing strategies that drive measurable business growth
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with account-based marketing (ABM) and customer lifecycle marketing
- Knowledge of SaaS business models, metrics, and the telecommunications industry
- B2B marketing experience with a strong understanding of the SMB and enterprise buyer journey
- IT or telephony industry knowledge
- Experience working in fast-paced, growth-stage or mid-market companies
- Familiarity with graphic design software and digital content production
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to travel for client engagements, events, and industry conferences
